Is there such a thing as a double door in a normal door size?

Dear wise-ones, I don't know the name for the thing that I am looking for (or it exists) but hoping that someone here does...

We have a kitchen door that goes into a sunroom and for light/space reasons it would be so much better if we had a double door instead of one single door that takes up too much room when open (nearly all the time except for when v. cold in winter).

I'm guessing that for building regs we need an external door because it opens into the sunroom and I can't see anything similar but I'm hoping that's because I don't know what it's called

It is very simple to get a joiner/carpenter to divide an ordinary door and put hinges on each side so that it is in two halves. Is that what you mean?

Yes, that would be ideal, thank you - I had no idea that would be possible... I am an idiot at this kind of stuff!

Now on to the next problem of working out whether we really need a radiator in a small kichen :)

Could you also consider a stable door, so that the divide is horizontal and you can have the top half open for light?

Many people don't bother complying with regs when it comes to doors between conservatories and houses. Can always change it when you come to sell.

Also try looking at pocket doors.

Radiator-less kitchen --> don't have cold tiles!

We have one as our front door but it was there when we bought. Not really sure what the official name is but ill have a neb online see if I can see anything.

Thanks all! The problem with the door is that it is near a corner and there is a window on each side of the corner so anything full size would be a bit awkward.

We are actually having cold tiles so I think we may have to find space for a radiator It's the typical Victorian terrace layout, there are three doors in the kitchen already so wall space is at a bit of a premium

You can get one but you'd have to have it made.
