F&B floor paint

Has anyone used F&B floor paint? Is it hard wearing? My parents have found their exterior paints to be a bit poor and have switched to dulux instead but I do like the f&b tones/colours more. Hmm.

It's okay but I really regret not sanding the floors we painted instead. The one we did in grey has some odd stain on it and both floors look scuffed and we only did them six months or so again. Dont know if other paint would have been better. Both of ours are light colours.

Our "new" house (new to us - victorian terrace) has wood floorboards throughout the ground floor and first floor (except kitchen) so if we paint the boards they will have to be the same colour throughout - including stairs and hallway which I know will get a battering!

Are you saying sand then paint or sand and stain and ditch the paint?

We sanded and then painted our bedroom floor in "Railings" about 6 months before we moved house. It was fine for those 6 months so I can't imagine it would have got much worse after.

Not sure how well a light coloured floor would hold up though...

Yes we have F&B off whites in a corridor and three rooms. Looked immaculate initially and have worn in a shabby chic way. I'm still happy with the floors but the biggest problem is the hallway which gets some footprints from guests dirty shoes. It cleans easily with a wet wipe though.

I meant just sand and varnish. Darker colours might work though

i don't mind shabby chic type wearing. i font know the condition of the floors yet but cba sanding! if i gave to sand i sill ditch the paint and varnish.

our floors were a mix match really. had been patched up over the years with different withes of wood. adds to the shabby chic look. wouldn't have got away with a sand and varnish as it looked so eclectic
