What should I ask double galzing sales people

When they come round to give a quote?

All I can think of is how long would it take to do all the windows in the house, price obviously and does price included old windows being taken away.

Is there anything else?

DH is leaving it all up to me - and I'm once again no one is recommending companies - so I'm a bit unsure.

Are trickle vents, what you opening mechanism options so can you clean the outside from the inside. Do you want false sashes - so the windows that don't open look like ones that do. Some upvc windows are very chunky - you can get a slimmer frames and then will look better - more like wood. Ask to see local examples of their work.

Meant are trickle vents included - I don't have the excuse of a toddler for my poor editing though!

When they arrive tell them that they have 15 minutes and if they take longer they won't get your business. That should stop the salesmen who stay for hours.

Ask for the names of some local people who have had their windows replaced by the company.

Thank you. I'll go and look up trickle vents - as I've never heard of them before.

Good idea nocake - I had forgotten about UK wide sale person who we asked for a door quote from who stayed over an hour and half engaged in pointless price resurrection thing by constantly someone ans still failed to give us a written quote. God that brings back bad memories - and DH can't be around this time.
