Best colour to go with red/olive green?

Hi all

We are having 2 rooms knocked together to make a long kitchen diner. This will also be open plan into the lounge which is currently B&Q Soft Cream, and we are not planning to change this just yet.

We have some lovely deep red accessories and curtains in the dining room which I will be keeping as part of the new kitchen diner. I also have a painting which has olive green tones which I am looking to incorporate into the kitchen end.

Is there a magical colour paint which will go with both these shades, other than brilliant white? I would like a warm colour as its a big room I am concerned about it feeling cold.

It will need to be a dulux paint as I want to get the kitchen end done in the kitchen endurance paint.

Any thoughts appreciated.

A stone colour such as F&B shaded white would work. Or a pale grey.

Believe it or not purple and or yellow.

Creamy stoney colour. I like Dulux "Timeless".

Thank you all for your suggestions. BikeRunSki I picked up a tester pot of Timeless yesterday, so at least I'm thinking along the right lines! I think stoney-white is the way to go. Doowrah I would love to be that brave but I'm really not!

No worries I am of the be bloody bold and brave brigade. I am sure it will look very tasteful.

DS has olive/red and "Timeless" striped socks which gave me the idea!

I would go for something neutral and cream to offset the strong tone of the reds/Olive.

Nice combo though!
