I know your average 9yr old can do this but I am having a nightmare with it. Have followed all steps for automatic and manual scans to retune my 'Curtis' set-top box and still cannot reset to receive the 'new' listings for CITV,ITV2 etc. All I want is CITV for my son and can't afford to pay TV man....arrrrrrggghhhhh! I have not got the instruction manual and have followed various guides on the internet to no avail. Does anyone think they could help me?

Different model, but on mine you go
Menu
Setup
Service setup
Enter PIN - mine is still on the default 0000
you could also try 1234 unless you changed it to something specific
Full Scan and replace existing services

...and then it takes about 3 mins to scan and then says
Complete

Have done that, mine doesn't ask for a pin. It does a full scan but fails to update existing services. Thanks for trying to help.

Turn the power off on the TV at the wall, have a cup of tea, switch power back on. Do what you are doing, 'menu, set up, scan' etc. Once finished turn off and on again and see if that works?

Have you retuned it without the connection in (ie to clear the memory) then turn off and retune again with cable in.

Could a friend take a look at it for you?

Yes, probably, I have issues around asking for help because I always feel like the one doing it.

The main transmitter for the South-West region is six miles away, we should be able to pick it up on a shoe string! I have resigned myself to paying man to come round and sort it which I know he will do in 1 minute because he knows it all backwards and will charge me £35 for...thanks for trying to help.
