Question about Faith and Education

My son is four and half and due to start reception School in September.
As most parent, I have been through the process of searching for a good
school for him to give him a good start up. Eventually I did come up with
four good ones which include the Church of England school.
Having seen the Church of England standard and Ofsted report, I would love my son to attend it, but My dilemma is that: because we are of
a Muslim background, we love our son to grow up as Muslim. Does anyone have any view on whether the school religious activities and education will have an effect on my son faith? Thanks

If the school is oversubscribed they may give priority to practising Christians... so if this is the case you may not get a place anyway - might be worth calling to ask whether they are likely to be places for those who are not practising Christians.

If you get a place are you planning to withdraw him from the faith based curriculum? On the basis that you will let him attend all the classes how would you feel about him being taught about Jesus and Christmas, and if he comes home singing Away in a Manger etc?

If he has a strong religious upbringing at home its unlikely that if would affect his faith but it might be a bit confusing for him esp at primary school.

BTW My aunt though teaches at a RC school in Glasgow where 95% of the pupils are Muslim but the school still has a Catholic ethos.
