She is 8, a good reader but I would like her to be able to navigate and read a site on her own.

Thankyou

The Cadbury's website has a history or chocolate and how things are made section.

The cadbury one is really good, she is amazed that at one time only Kings and Queens ate chocolate.

DD says thanks.

The Cadbury's website has some nice-looking pages with the History of Chocolate and Interesting Facts etc, such as cocoa beans from Mexican rainforests being used for trade by Mayan Indians:

"They didn’t only drink the cocoa, they used it as currency too. Here’s an idea of what it was worth:

4 cocoa beans could buy a pumpkin
10 could buy a rabbit
100 could buy a slave"

Lots of interesting pages which look pitched about right for a bright 8 year old? Expect other choc manufacturers have similar, and don't forget Wikipedia usually has a good overview of any subject with links for further research.

Making me want some now - lucky we have some left over from Christmas
