how many children in your child's primary 1 class?

Not trying to steal thunder from the thread of a very similar title!!

My dd1 started school in England in a reception class of 33 children with one teacher and one ta.

We are moving back to Scotland in May so dd2 will start school in August and I presumed primary 1 classes are much smaller than reception classes.

I think my sister said there were 18 in my nephews infant classes. Just wondered what the maximum number of children in a primary 1 class is.

Guidelines are 25 max in P1. My son had 22 last year.
