Does anyone have any experience of this school? It's in Letchworth, Hertofrdshire and am thinking about sending my DCs there. Please tell me anything you know about it - good or bad!

My son has been there since year 6 and is currently just ending year 9. So he did 1 year in junior school. He has been very happy there and has boarded for the last 2 years.
The school suits him. He has a very high IQ but is dyslexic. The school understands this and treats him accordingly. He had extra help in year 6, but has needed none since.
The school is small and nurturing and not too competitive. The ethos to treat each as an individual shows. Alot of kids who have been unhappy elsewhere have thrived.
They do fantastic trips in the senior school.
The only bad points I have come across is that there are not enough boarders for it to really feellike a community. Also, there have been times when he has done badly in a test and I think he should have been made to redo it, but this is not the way they work.

Thank-you for the information

I have been to look round and really liked it. DS would be joining the Monte and DD would be joining Year 1 (J group i think) in September if we do decide to put them there. All the year groups have letter names which does seem a bit confusing but i'm sure i'll get used to it!
