Single level tests yr3

Been to DD1s parents evening today, before I went in DD(8) said she was scared her teacher would tell me anout her latest maths test, turns out she only scored 18/30 and was quite worried because usually does really well in class maths tests. Turns out it was a practice single level test that a few of them had taken and she was really stressed by the time constraint and panicked. Teacher still wants her to take single level test after easter, but i wonder if it's worth putting her through the stress when she doesn't have to do it or would it be a good chance to get used to taking such tests which are inevitable as she gets older.
I understand from teacher that she won't see her results but it's just for statistical info although she will get certificate saying she has taken it.
What would you do??

These sorts of tests should happen termly, she has to get used to them.
Maybe teacher could present it better, tho, creating less stress?

she's 8. There's a LOAD of time til she gets into the whole testing / exam stuff at secondary age - well, year 6 with SATS...

I'd not let her do it - it's not for her benefit right now - she's EIGHT... she should be enjoying school, not getting totally stressed out (whereas secondary school yearly exams can be - to take the stress out of them by the time GCSEs come round - worked at my old school...)
