Lost School Fleece, Should I send a letter

DS wore his new fleece to school. It was meant to be for after the holidays but his jacket was a bit heavy so gave him the fleece. I put his name in it and off he went.

I went to pick him up after football and there was no fleece. I asked him where it was and he said it wasn't on his peg. The next day I got him to ask his teacher who couldn't find it. I called the school to ask if it was in the lost property and they said no.

Should I make up a letter to give to the teacher asking people to check their kids fleeces. It's been a couple of weeks since it went missing and I can't get another school one before the start of the next term. I'm also loathed to shell out another £20.

Yes, but it probably won't do any good. DS1's PE kit went missing just after Feb half term. It still hasn't turned up, despite it all being named.
I did mention it to the head, and it was only after I said I was going to look through every child's PE bag myself did she put something int eh newsletter.
His shorts have since turned up in his drawer, he wore them, put them into the bag on his peg with new PE kit in, and they went missing agian.

We have a term newsletter which came out after the fleece went missing. I'll say to his teacher tonight about putting letters out.

You've pretty much got no chance of getting it back I'm afraid Harsh but true. I've given up buying my daughter anything but the vile sweatshirts from the school uniform range as anything else gets stolen pretty quickly

I would. It can't do any harm and you never know.
