Arghhh! I will be glad when this is over. I'm not sure there's much more I can 'teach' her now, but am focusing on exam technique.

Is anyone else in 11+ hell!?

Grrrr-glad I'm not alone! How is your DC doing-do you think they're on track for a comfortable pass?

DD is doing really well at the maths but some of the English is rather suspect, particularly understanding the comprehension texts which she takes rather literally. And her spelling can be dodgy. Oh, and the creative writing....!

Yep, there too with dsd. The one she is trying for is uberselective so not too much hope. But she wanted to try so full support behind her.

Her maths and vocab have improved no end as a result though.

We're not going for a super selective place but I keep thinking about some of DS's friends 2 years ago who should have passed (IMO) that just missed-by a couple of marks- and I really don't want that to happen to DD :(

I'm existing on Wine and Cake at the moment!

In theory mine should be fine going by mock results but you never know.

They deserve to pass and should which makes it worse iykwim.

One of mine makes stupid mistakes on the reading comp multi choice.Goes too fast, has good comp skills though.Same kid has been lazy re looking up unknown words so the sodding synonym questions can trip him.Thankfully they add everything up and they're good all rounders so in theory.....

I've got twins doing it who want it bad which make it worse.I'll be happy with the alternative, bigging it up royally at the moment.

Yes a lot of Wine is being drank here(and bourbons eaten).
