Hoping to move to Bristol - thoughts on Bishop Road and Sefton Park schools?

I'm sure both are hopelessly oversubscribed, but would be interested in hearing about these two schools rom anyone with experience of them, as they are in the area we would like to move to. We've got a girl about to go into year one, and a second due to start reception in 2015. Many thanks in advance!

Both are well regarded - Bishop Rd probably more so than Sefton Park. I have known people very happy with both. Bishop Rd is enormous though. That would put me off a bit I think, plus the road itself is chaotic at pick up and drop off. Way too narrow for the amount of traffic and pedestrians!

I think Bishops Road doesn't have school uniform. I have been to Sefton Park, it was nice. Both are really big!

Thanks very much for your feedback. 3asAbird, when you say teaches to test do you mean there's a lots of assessment? My daughter will be in year 1; at her current school they are sent home with one reading book a week but nothing more than that at the moment.

I really think the only way to judge a school is to visit and see if it suits your family as everyone wants such different things
