wondering how many here still have no place for sept

either because turned down allocated school or la still not found a school.

we dident get any of our 3 preferences.

not school 1 where sibling goes

not school 2 academy lottery
not school 3 local infants 509 metres from our house we walk past it on way school 1.

none of the other 3 nearest local schools other than choice 3 have spaces.

really dident want to do 2schools especially when allocated school over a mile from where we live and diffrent direction from eldest school so just over 2miles distance between the schools so turned it dowm

added new free school as additional 4th choice.

we no 2 school 1 from 6
no 3 school 3 from 7
school 2 no idea maybe 1/70 names in hat if lottery redrawn

no 19 for new free school less than mile away.

we defered until jan term after 5th birthday and have decided to home educate in mean time.

but the school hysteria here last few months from

whats your choices
did you get it?
new parents evenings and child inductions heard all about that in various toddler groups.
school uniform chat kind of feel stuck on that as dont know which school, which colour, when maybe need 7-8 at this rate.

been aldi brought 2packs polos in different colours as hedging my bets and at £1.25 pack 2 cheap enough.

school 1 needs navy and grey/white
school 2 burgundy and grey/white
school 3 light blue, navy or grey with navy tops
school 4 no uniform

Eldest moved after october half term when she was year 2 nightmare finding uniform after sept,

I know I have to face all the fb statues and 1st day school pics.

im jsut trying to ignore it all and stay positive.

anyone else same position

or been same place in the past.

no one seems to understand unless happens to them.
trying be positive about home ed.

child no 1 in year 4-not moving her.
child no 3 starts preschool near eldests school

so adding 3rd school mix distance apart pretty impossible

dident even mention looks of pity

gossiping behind my back

I should write to mp or go newspaper

so many have no idea what admissions process is like

if i had quid for go appeal you will win I be rich.

nursery and preschool think im some deranged /fussy hippy.

why dont i accept lesser schol distance away thats just come out special measures and not near home or school 1.

its impssible never heard of anyone whos not got a place, are you sure?

siblings always get priority

why not move eldest from school rated god, shes happy at and doing well to schools thats just been downgraded just to get younger siblings in.

why not consider this sink undresubscribed schools its on the up yet never dream sending their kids there.

realisation how smug and patronising and scarily obsessed with the right school people are round here

im sure you guys can add more crazy stuff to list.

think in case school admissions if they dont have anything useful or relevent then people should say nothing at all.

I have freind went through same thing 2years aogo shes been supportive.

Have to apply dd3 next year and dreading it.
