Phone call from primary admissions team

In the car today, missed a call and got a voice message from a named person asking me to ring back regarding my daughter's primary school application.
Tried numerous times (only left two voice messages Wink ) but couldn't get anyone.
Obviously I'm now going to spend the weekend worrying about my pfb's prospects, so I wondered if anyone knows what they might need to ring me about? I'm in Oxfordshire, in case that matters.

Have you moved recently? Could they want to check your address?

Did you get your first choice?

I had a call 4 days after the middle school allocations last year to say we'd had another offer due to a fraudulent application being found out.

One of the Mums at school received a phone call from one of the schools she had chosen and it was just to ask her to bring a baptism certificate in. She then asked if her child had got into the school and was told she would not find out until April. I would imagine in your case they require some sort documentation or need some information clarifying.

Did you get your first choice? Is there anything suspect about your application? Have you moved out of the area? Are you on a waiting list?

I would expect it was to check some documentation? Did any require any supporting paperwork?

Sorry, mad evening!
Right, should be nothing suspect. We rent and moved here last July. All information on form is true!
I had dreadful trouble with submitting online. Apparently it was a common problem but as their IT is taken care of by a third party they couldn't give me any help and just suggested a paper submission.
I managed to sort it in the end.
No supporting material needed for the school as far as I could see. I did check, and apparently the form should have prompted me for a baptism cert if needed (according to friend who applied to a Catholic school).
Offers are made in April so it's too early to know what's happening!
Thanks for all the suggestions.

Were any of your choices faith schools? If RC then a baptism certificate would be the norm? CofE schools vary widely. Is any of your paperwork e.g child benefit in a different address? I am sure it will get sorted Monday morning

You don't own a house elsewhere?

If it's a religious school-it's probably to do with that.

We do own a house in Ireland but live full time in Oxford and have done for seven years.
Our first two choices are CofE schools so presume it's that. I don't think either of them asked for a baptism cert though. I could have missed it I suppose...I thought I was pretty thorough though.

ps Thanks, all, for the input. It doesn't seem like I should be panicking at least.

I got called up from a school on the form to check how religiously observant I was (verbally!) and whether I had put the school first choice (which they shouldn't have done, apparently). Bizarre conversation.
Chose not to go to school.

I had emails when we were applying because I'd left the council tax number off my application. maybe something like this?

Just a update - finally got a call back this evening and apparently they had an old address on record for her, so needed to double check the correct one. They couldn't tell me how they have our old address on record, but it's all been straightened out now anyway.
Thanks for the help!
