I saw the head teach position advertised today at this very popular & successful school. I wondered whether current parents are aware if Mr Carter is leaving. There's no information about this on their website. Has anyone got any further information?

They are advertising for a Deputy Headteacher on eteach.com and on the school website. Are you sure you saw the Headship advertised or could you be mistaken?

Definitely the headship. It was published in the Green Sheets that are sent out by Berkshire. I think it's also on eTeach. They have already appointed a new deputy head.

It will be interesting to watch who they appoint & how it impacts on the 'politics' within the local schools.

I found it on eteach. If you read it is says "to lead a school within the academy and will make a contribution to this growing academy chain and teaching school". It is not the headship of South Farnham but my guess is that their academy chain is taking on another local school or even local schools and they are looking for head teachers to lead them.

Your post made me look up. Just wondered if you found out what the situation is.
