St James Catholic school - Reception Sept 2013 waiting list

Hi All

We are no. 12 on the St James Catholic school reception Sept 2013 waiting list. I know it is a very popular church school. I was wondering what were people's experiences of waiting lists (ideally for St James) and if they got in or not?

Hi there. I know quite a few people (myself included) who have been on the waiting list for St J over the past few years. There is very little movement so if you are number 12 it may not be until year 1 or 2 before you get an offer. The thing is that your place in the queue can go up and down depending on other applicants moving closer to the school. You may get lucky as quite often people are very happy with the school they are currently at so they wont leave. Assuming you have got another school in the local area, I wouldn't worry too much as they are all good. You may find that you are really happy at your allocated school. We are! Good luck.

We applied to st James but didn't get in. I don't know where you are, but we are Hampton and go to st Ignatius. I don't know if places available, but not usually oversubscribed.
