If you don't ask, you don't get...

Unusual but not unknown to not offer in primary years . Unless she has some particular need or talent then unlikely sorry. Can you look at other state schools.

I have only one that is good and local enough but they are full ( only 10 children per year)

If you tell us roughly what area/schools you are looking at someone may know more and be able to help

dh was given a full bursary to attend a prep school several years before the age they advertised offering them. If your child is considered unusually bright and simultaneously being failed by her current school I'm sure they could be persuaded.

GDST schools?

We are in Norfolk, she is bright but not exceptionally so just slightly more gifted in math than the average child. I just wondered if there were places you could ask for funding help other than the school as they have said they cn and will help from yr 7 on many thanks

By that definition it seems unlikely she would get a bursary in any case. In what way is her current school failing her?

The school is more interested in data results than the child itself, she has been tested by an independent school and is above average in math but when asking them about how they teach reasoning they actually don't because that is not part of sats which is ridiculous the Head has only just come to the school and her attitude is its her way or no way which is disgusting

If you feel that strongly then find a local tutor or teaching centre but tbh it doesn't sound like they are failing her as such , just perhaps not stretching her.

I had thought of that and think I will find a tutor TY x

If the prep school is a separate entity, and does not offer bursaries, then there probably is nothing that can be done via the school (if there is no bursary pot, then that's it, really).

There are some grant making trusts, but these tend to have quite a lot of conditions on who is eligible.

Really how do I find them please
