TV every day in Reception?

Just wondering if watching TV every day as a regular 'activity' is common in year R? DD says she watches two shows every afternoon and mentioned today that they 'even had TV during snack time' the other day.

Seems a bit rum to me...

She has mentioned all kinds of things (movies for example) that she has seen at school that we haven't watched as a family or would consider that we were quite ready for as a family (nothing too extreme, but def. PG films mentioned rather than U).

Not heard of that. There may be a educational TV programme every so often and a film at the end of year at our school.

Have a chat with the teacher to find out what the score is. I will be amazed they have time for a daily dose of TV.

It's probably been down to the bad weather. If they have to stay in because of snow/rain they often watch DVDs at DS's school.

Our Foundation Stage watch an episode of 'Come Outside' most days. They link to the curriculum and the children watch whilst eating their snack before Playtime
