Book banding

Hi sorry to do yet another one of these!! My dd is currently on gold band ORT only today she's come back withs book that's a big jump from those she's been given before. She's had alot of the tree tops books which she's liking much better than the previous B&C books.

The book she has been given today is called trapped. It's a stage 14 tree tops chapter book only it still has the gold band. Just seems a big jump and I'm unsure as to whether it's been put in the right band or if there some mistake.

I think it has the wrong label! The highest Tree Tops book I can find in Gold is stage 11, so a stage 14 book should be well past this! ( STage 14 is around yr 5!)

Good grief. The ones she had before ranged from
Stage 7/8-11 she had just started being given those little starter chapter books , the ones with like three chapters or something. Jelly fish shoes, masked cleaning ladies that kind of thing.

I've looked at it, I think she will be able to read it fine so not worried about that. More worried that she's gonna get given another book like she had before after this one and she's gonna be wondering why she's gone back to books half the size.

Well whatever band it's supposed to be she's enjoying it so can't complain :o certainly is one of the better books she's had
