Tutoring/study software

Im lookong for some advice on finding good quality all round study software for my 6 year old. He's doing very well and is going through reading books faster than I can buy them!

I'd like to know if anyone has recommendations for software that is relevant to his school work and includes all subjects?

Also, how long do you feel should be spent per day/week to ensure he keeps his passion for learning and achieves, but doesn't overwhelm him?

At 6, I would supply him with a library card, and let him loose. I certainly wouldn't push him to do extra work outside that set by the school. Time enough for that in the years to come!

I agree that there is plenty of time in coming years, but he really does crave to learn more. He keeps showing me websites that have been recommended at school and I don't see that it will hurt to expand his knowledge on subjects he's already passionate about :)
