very pleased and proud of my DC4.
he is sounding out and blending really well.
I have 3 older children and this school seems to be approaching learning to read in the most successful way i have come across so far.
The parents phonics workshop in September was most informative. telling us not to panic they did not have reading books yet. teacher wanted to make sure the pupils had grasped the letters and sounds and some tricky words.
Nothing very exciting but just wanted to say how pleased we are of the school

I'm glad things are going well. Please don't forget the old fashioned methods of writing things on the fridge with magnets and playing silly spelling games. I know that these things aren't scientific. And I have no proof whatsoever that they help, but I believe that both my children benefit from them.

he was so chuffed, 'Mum I can do it!'
Hope to encourage him to love reading like myself and another of my DC. I really believe it helps with spelling etc.

Yay! DS had his first a week or so ago and bounced around the house saying "I can do it! I can read". Tis a lovely thing to see!

Its a great feeling. He adores his teacher and TA. Everything is "mrs so and so says we must be kind, we must tidy up etc"
Shame he is not so keen to take on board what I ask!
