I'm a bit gutted that my lovely tomboyish 9YO has suddenly become so self-conscious about the hairs on her legs (after a comment by a friend) that she was out cartwheeling up the cul de sac today in a vest top, short gathered skirt, and long black leggings. Even sadder that the clothes she has laid out for going back to school tomorrow include black tights.
However, if it's bothering her then it's bothering me and a rechargeable electric shaver seems the simplest option for someone so small. I've looked on amazon and there is a huge array at a huge variety of prices. I'm looking for something very easy to use and that does a decent job of very short hairs (pale skin, dark hair so she'll be using it a few times a week I suspect). Any recommendations please?

I am also wondering about this for my 11 yr old Dd. She is currently refusing to wear shorts out of the house as her legs are hairy. Her 2 older sisters and me all shave ours so havent set a very good example.

Maybe posting on hair and beauty or chat might give more replies!

My dd has also just asked. I have bought her a cheap £4.99 electric razor from Argos - it seems to do the trick. It is not rechargeable but it is fine. She has tried it a couple of times and she seems happy with the results. It is not a very close shave - so legs are not completely smooth, but it does get rid of the visible hairs.
