Holiday clubs?

What do you do with your pre-teens during school holidays when you're at work. Used to use local sports centre days but at 13 ds is too old, but too young (not sensible enough) to be left on own all day. No support network near

Could you advertise for an older teen (?would 16 be old enough for you?) to hang out at your house those days?

My 13yo is sensible enough, thankfully. Plan is, if we have to, to leave 12+14yo together hopefully looking out for each other.
