Hi, I'm sure there is a thread somewhere here but just a quick question. My soon to be 12 year old is having a bowling party this weekend. My gut feeling is I don't want to do party bags but somehow maybe a I should!! IYSWIM. There is a local sweet shop so was just thinking of doing a party bag with sweets in cellophane bags.

What is the norm for 12 year olds these days?

Last few "parties" I have done for my 12 and 11 year olds have been cinema trips and back to the house for food, so I have made up a bag with popcorn and sweets and juice for them to take to the cinema and then not bothered with actual party bags, they have cake after the pizza and chicken etc - I'm sure a a bag of sweets always goes down well so If you do that it will be fine but equally I am not sure you "have" to do anything.

My son went out for a pizza with friends for his 12th birthday and we didn't do party bags.

I did a nice bag of sweets from old fashion sweet shop wrapped in cellophane. Just think they are too old for party bags.
