Trendy boys pants for Christmas?

So the conversation with ds (11) went like this:

"I want some trendy pants for Christmas, like the boys at school. Not with Autograph at the top"

"OK, well what brand is trendy? What do they have at the top?"

"Muuuuum, I mean, I can't look at their pants in the changing room, can I?, I don't know, you know, the trendy ones!!!" Confused

So help me out here ladies, or I will be caught following small to medium sized boys down the street to see what's popping out the top of their jeans! Smile

primark! seems to be the place that my s like to get them from. they have comic type prints on them for £2ish a pair or brand name comic prints such as spongebob for a pound or so more.
also the mens xs seems to fit the pre teen age range, they have a bigger election of pants and are £3-5 a pair.
I also got some packs from next that seemed to be acceptable www.next.co.uk/g483544s3

these are an example of the primark ones, but about 3 x the price, so definatley get to shop if you can www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BNWT-BOYS-SEGA-CARTOON-CHARACTER-SONIC-THE-HEDGEHOG-TAILS-KNUCKLES-BOXERS-/310418781820?pt=UK_Boys_Underwear&var=610084819136&hash=item484666b67c

Quite like those, but I think it's a particular brand, and I can't work out which it is.

Unfortunately he probably means brands like Jack Wills at that age - stupid amounts of money for 1 pair of boxers

However you could try places like sports direct - I got ds some Lonsdale boxers there which were greatly reduced in price and appear to be acceptable

For ds1 and his friends it was all about the name on the waistband - nothing to do with the design on the actual pants themselves

My DS is 11 and all his pals love these www.bawbags.com/ he wears the small but for a 9y.o the XS would be fine.
