He goes to a private nursery for 2 whole days while I work. He is 3 (starts school in Sept) and I use 4 of his free sessions at his private nursery.

So this 2 and a half hours at preschool (in a village hall, that type of thing) should be free shouldn't it? I received an invoice through the post today.

It should be free - there is a form for you to fill in that pre-school should have given you. Are you sure you are being charged the full cost of the sessions? The pre-school my DS went to has a 50p/session charge in lieu of parents going to help out which we were invoiced for twice a term.

When did he start going to the pre-school?

If he has just started then it might be too late for the preschool to claim for him this term. We have to make our adjustments by half term at the latest.

oh right, so I need to ask for a form for next term?
It is £7 a session.

Claim deadline date is usually about 3 weeks into term. Just ask the preschool about the form.
One exception is for children movinmg in from outside areas, they can claim late, few others can.

will everyone be filling out the form or will they have filled out theirs for the whole year?

It seems odd that no one has mentioned how to claim to me.

sorry if that was unclear... does everyone claim each term or will the children who have been there ages already have it all sorted or will they give everyone a form at the same time?

We used to fill in a form at the beginning of each term.

oh so maybe everyone will receive one in a few weeks for the term after Easter.
