DD1 is going to be angel at concert.
Would quite like to make the outfit and have googled a few things on internet which which seem to use sheets, gold ribbon and card etc
Any personal recommendations of an easy (am basic type of sewing person and have week to make the darn thing) outfit.
Many thanks, or shall i just buy the angel outfit from mothercare now

she just needs a tunic which you can brighten up with tinsel. My Mu did one a shepherd one for DS1 last year. Just lay her on the floor on top of some white material and draw a rough T shape around her. Cut 2 out and sew together (except arm holes and neck obviously )

Cut a hole in middle of white sheet (might have to cut sheet to size). Stick child's head through hole.
Bit of silver or gold tinsel round waist.
Halo is just tinsel round head, or you can do an elaborate up-in-the-air version with wire, iyswim.

Claire's Accessories do the angel accessories (wings, wand, halo) (do angels really need wands?) so you would just need the sheet and some tinsel to go round the waist.

plain white large t shirt with tinsel sewn around the neck, sleeves and bottom. Hair band with tinsel wound round.

Do you need to sew the sides of the sheet together, or does it all just come together when you tie around the waist with the ribbon?

it does indeed all come together when you bind the child, so to speak.

did that sound a tad innapropriate?
I am very normal, honest!
