Just been to one myself. They did most of the talking. I just wanted to see how dd was getting on really. They told me about her friends, what they do, any behavioural/development issues and showed me a workbook they had with samples of her drawings and things they had written eg: things they had said and her response. Is that helpful?!

I would imagine it is something similar - I've spoken to friends with kids in other pre-school nurseries and it seems to be something that most of them do. I think they usually give the workbook to the parents when the child leaves.

Dh went ot dd2's last night and found it interesting to see how different she is there to at home - better behaved for a start!

They had a kept a record of things she has said, and dh nearly wet himself laughing about a lot of it.

I think it's a nice thing to do.
