Why not? My dd was very keen on the school librarian and gave her a little gift. The librarian said it was the first time she'd ever had a gift and was quite touched (whereas the teachers aren't always as appreciative).

I read somewhere the dinnerladies would appreciate something too (however I've decided against this as dd1 has 2 teachers and a TA and dd2 has a teacher and a nursery nurse - I can't afford it all!)
