ds - 3 in september, how many days should he do at pre-school?

he does 3 x 3-hour morning sessions at fab pre-school, he loves it, runs in, has fab time and has come on leaps and bounds.

am tempted to increase to 4 sessions but this would be for selfish reasons, really (well, so I can get more chores etc done so then don't have to do them when he and dd are home and can concentrate on them)

would it be an awful thing to up his sessions?

God, have got the parental guilts today!

Mine started 1 x 2.5hrs at 2y9m (May)
Increased to 2 x 2.5hrs at 3y (Sep)
Increased to 4 x 2.5hrs at 3y3m (Jan) when I went on mat leave with no 2.
Increased to 5 sessions at 4y3m (they only do 5 for the pre-school kids for the last two terms at ours).

If he is happy and enyoys it then it isn't awful at all. He will be funded from January, so if you don't think he is up to it yet, maybe consider it then?

my ds was doing three mornings at 3 yrs but by 3yrs3 months was asking for more so he went to 4 then the next term 5 sessions.

don't see a problem if they're coping and not too tired. You can always keep him at home if he's too tired that's the beauty of preschool.

that's true - it's not like he has to go every session and obviously there are the hols coming up too....

hmmmmm, not feelign quite as guilty as I had been (guilt exacerbatd by the fact I miss 3 bedtimes a week as work (very) late shifts.)
