Nursery school or overactive imagination?

Please can you help- just need some advice really. My lil gal turns 1 in a few weeks and she is everything to me. She has been at nursery for 6 weeks now, at 1 day a week. I look after her for a day, her mum has her for 2 days and her nan for the other...

The thing is, she has come home with an accident report for 5 of the six times she's been there- normally for bumps to the head where she has ran into doors etc... She has been on her feet now since she was 10months and is an inquisitive little bugger, although not exactly steady, she is VERY confident about getting about... Am I wrong to think this is excessive? Appreciate that she is on her feet a lot more than at home and there are far more obstacles/ kids/ things to do there, but it feels like a lot to a worried parent and I cant seem to stop an over active imagination going in all manner of directions...

Please instil some calm!

I wouldn't worry OP, this sounds normal once they get on their feet.
I used to worry that people would get the wrong idea as all of mine have spent months with lumps and bumps where they hurt themselves.
It does soon pass.
Then one day it all starts again, when they realise they have grown too tall to run under the table, this is usually a bigger lump. Grin

I wouldn't worry if she seems fine to you. We find we are asked to send out a ridiculous about of accident forms to 'cover our backs'.
I'm sure dd's nursery is just doing the same, especially as she's so young and can't tell you herself!

My DC's didn't go to nursery at this age but still managed to hit their heads at least once a day on average. The only difference is no one made me fill in an accident form for every bump otherwise I would have had a file full of them.

They don't have far to fall at that age, fortunately.

All normal - both mine banged their heads most days at that age and nurseries have to record and report every one Grin
