Help! Need some answers about applying for nursery and sick of getting nowhere

with the council's website.

DS2 is 3 next month (can't figure where that went!) so I am reluctantly applying to get him into the nearest pre-school/nursery. Have downloaded and printed this damned form and can't work out what this stuff about being baptised a catholic has to do with anything (No, we're atheists. No God please, we're humanists) The form asks for two choices, but there is only one pre-school in the village and I'm not pissing about going to two schools (DS1 will be yr 6 in September) Anyone out there who can answer me this:
If I only put one choice on my application form, will this cause me to have to spend time on the phone saying "no, we really can't travel out of the village, if there isn't space at this school we will have to wait"

Personally I don't see why we can't just leave him with the childminder, it's not as though he won't get the free 15 hrs from her, and he'll still be with his friends. Any advice gratefully received, didn't have to do this for DS1, just turned up at the school and said can I bring DS1 in September?

'Personally I don't see why we can't just leave him with the childminder'

You can.

You will need to apply or a reception place idc. But you'll have had to do that anyhow.

Don't send him if you don't want to- school is not compulsory until the term after they turn five.

If you would like him to go, you are free to put only one choice down and wait for a place to come up there.

Leave him with the CM if that's what you want
