Pre-school and primary choices in Sunbury on Thames

Hi, we are going to be moving to Sunbury on Thames in the near future. We'll be complete newbies to the area. We have a toddler and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good preschool or nursery we could sign up to. In addition, an information about local primary schools is much appreciated. Our nearest would be Beauclerc, but it doesn't seem to have performed so well in the last Ofsted report. We would consider going private, so any advice about local private schools appreciated. I know it sounds like I haven't done my research, but I don't know anyone who lives in Sunbury and other than the ofsted reports, I can't find any other reviews or opinions online. Many thanks in advance!!

We're hoping to move to Lower Sunbury in the next year and Beauclerc is our school of choice. The last Ofsted was in 2013 and rated Good. It also has a nursery of it's own but I think that is for ages 2 plus.
From what I can gather, the other good school is Chennestone Primary but it has a very small catchment area (ie you need to practically live on the doorstep to get in)
Plenty of good private schools in the area, particularly Hampton way. How old is your toddler?

Hi, Our daughter goes to Beauclerc and it is a great little school! It has the same Headteacher as Chennestone, Mrs Jackson but Mr Magill, the Deputy seems to run it most days as she works at both schools. He is very approachable and seems to have done a good job as the parents like him and the school got a better Ofsted this time! I know they have a Nursery from 3 but there also lots of good private ones our friends used such as Pomfret Cottage and Sunshine Nursery. Hope this helps.
