Im 33+6 with twins and had my fifirst jab of steroids this morning. This evening (after finally getting chance to sit down) I'm getting a constant dull pain across my lower back (typically where I've laboured before). I'm also getting tightenings, although this is normal for me,it is mmaking the pain little more painful. Has anyone else had this???

I don't quite know what you are asking? Do you think the steroids are making the tigheninga more painful? It sounds like you may be going into labour to me.
I had steroids at 29 weeks. Had no pains but then I wasn't5 in labour.

Good luck and fingers crossed for you x

I was just wondering if others had pains after having them. My tightenings have always been uncomfortable but never in my back like tonight. I'm hoping it hasn't triggered labour (or just coincidence). Dh is at work, my dads away and I don't want to have to call in favours from my neighbours. My car seats haven't been delivered yet, last thing I need to worry about if they are this early, but feel so unprepared it just can't happen yet lol.

I think you ought to rest, and maybe give the labour ward a ring to see what they say. I agree that it does sound like you could be in early labour - is there any pattern to the tightenings? I had two days of mild contractions at 10 min intervals before I went into labour with DS at 31+5.
Don't worry about being unprepared! We literally had nothing when DS was born, but it is surprisingly easy to
order/buy stuff in a hurry if you need to Grin
Please do call the ward if it continues?

I've gone to bed in the hope it wears off overnight. I'm back at hospital tomorrow am so hopefully all will be fine until then. Thanks for your replys folks. I'd of thought I'd of figured most things out labour wise considering this is my 4th time lol

Thanks for your replys. I was up from half 3 this morning having regular contractions. Came in for my 2nd lot of steroids and they decided to keep me for bed rest overnight in the hope it will all calm down. So far so good, not having 3 kids to run around after is magic medicine. Just really really bored lol
