Hi ladies,
Spent almost the whole day in A and E - on crutches and a bit miserable. Hope your week started better than mine!

Hey Val, just saw this post usually just check my "I'm on" thread. Hope you're okay, what happened?

Halo is no better and no worse, he sleeps, poops, eats and screams and occasionally smiles for DH. He has to go for a check up on Friday at the clinic to see if the biotics are working. So far, a part from making him sleepy, we see no change :(

Currently my kitchen is covered in pancakes and pancake mix....

Valdeeves · 05/03/2014 19:47

Ha ha - where the pancakes good?? I made some two. My knees just a bit knackered from the half marathon but its getting better every day so hopefully tomorrow will be my last day on crutches.
How old is Halo? I love that name xxx

They were - well the ediable obes were! We had plain, sugar and choc chips ones which were the favourite and today we had Vegetarian Dumplings and ash :)

Glad to hear your knee is nothing serious and is getting better :)

Halo was 22wo (13wo adj) yesterday. The kids gave him the nickname. DH and I shortened his name to A'lo put the DC couldn't pronounce it properly, so K decided we call him Halo as a nickname and it stuck :)

Sometimes I miss English food! Not keen on hot cross buns but give me a coconut snowball anyday!

You do the same thing I do, sit in the car and eat while DC sleep!

How is your knee today? X

Valdeeves · 06/03/2014 22:16

Yep it's the only way to eat without someone else eating half of it!
Where do you live MMama? Xx

Usef to live in England but moved to Frankfurt in New Year when DH got a work promotion.

Took the DC out for walk today and I hated the awful stares I got wheh they saw Halo's tube and tank. I wanted to cry.

Have you moved around a lot? You aren't English though are you? I'm saying that because you are multi lingual and lets face it - that's not a British trait!!

Ah actually I'm not too sure now - are you English?? I just realised we've been chatting about pacemakers, how's he getting on?

Oh I've just realised too! Hi! :) He's getting on well no more additional problems and his PM is working as it should. We have more appts next week as the GP wants to check something.

I am half English and Russian, but a British citizen I was born and raised in England. My mum was English and my dad is Russian (he moved here to expand business and marry mum). I have a range of family in Russia who speak no English, so me and my brother were brought up with English and Russian. I learnt German in school and carried on when I met DH.

Other languages are just simple coversations that I picked up travelling :)

Frankfurt is great, yet to meet many other parents as DC aren't in school yet but loving the area and we are still adjusting but DC have settled well into a new country :)

How are you and your LOs?

Once you've got one language you can quickly pick up others can't you?
Glad up hear the PM is working well.
We are watching TV - the little one has been up almost all the night with DH so we are giving him a lie in. Her ears seem to get blocked all the time so she can't sleep - it makes her nose run for weeks!

Aww bless hope she feels better soon! Flowers

I think it's easier to learn when you're surrounded by that language because it's easier to pick up. Ds1 is fluent in all 3 of our languages and when he tantrums etc he swaps between them and doesn't realise.

Apollo has been in his cot all day - only waking to scream, feed, change. He's senses are acting up. So he's swaddles in the cot, in what will eventually be their nursery with only the humifier and night light on. Moved his monitors into that room too - tried to engage him in some activity but just wanted his tummy rubbing.

MMama remind me of Apollos gestation again? Is real one and when he was supposed to be born?

He is 22 weeks old! Shock Time does fly! He is indeed, his my little pudding! Had him weighed at the doctors and he's only put on a pound - they have put it down to him dealing with his persistant chest infection and new environments. He's currently waiting to be assessed as the GP thinks he may have SPD - his Cardiologist alert me to a few things and to have his GP check him out. He is to be reviewed on tues by an OT. Hectic!!

I kinda off expected problems due to him have sereve symetrical IUGR and him being premature but I hoped I would be oblivous to it and not have to come face to face with it for a few years! Just want to have a calm few weeks! Grin

Mine love mud castles too! My DD is teething and so congested - her nose seems so bunged up and she's really under the weather. Just got back from Book group xxx

A loves mud too, she likes to help garden - it's our thing. The boys however prefer to dig holes and pretend the dog did it... Hmm

Halo had his OT appt today. She said that she knows of SPD but isn't familiar with it, so she is going to refer us someone who does, it's an hour away from us though. She said Halo is definately setting off red flags and believes he has SPD but would prefer to have the referal do the dx. We'll know more in a few weeks with a referal letter. In the meantime he is to have 2 weekly appts with her where she'll show us baby massages and spend time in a sensory room.
