Anybody feel disappointed to have missed out on the whole NCT experience as baby was born early?
Fancy starting our own? Here!

Yes. I go to baby signing and a group but am not part if the mummy gang. I always feel a bit sad when they all arrive and leave together.
Luckily I'm in touch with some of the NICU mums.
Great idea Grin Thanks

My antenatal classes were due to start two days after I gave birth. I had to cancel them, along with my 34 week midwife appointment, and my 36 week consultant appointment. I've been feeling sad about not clicking with the other mums at the few groups we attend - I hadn't considered that they might have been in NCT together but that makes a lot of sense. I thought it was just me!

We've had two prem births so missed both NCT groups - everyone I know seems to be in one - and they are a bit like the circle of trust in Meet The Fockers - no ones getting in!
I have met loads of nice mums and that's great - it just would have been nice to have that experience.
So ok, here we are in our virtual Costa Coffee - who's round the table with me and where are you based?

In our area we had post natal groups, still friends with 3 of the mums to this day.

Costa do a great tuna/cheese melt. I used to drive to the 'Costa drive through' as a break from NICU. I'm Oxfordshire. I'm hoping Mary Poppins will be present so we can all have a break xGrin

There are nct tea groups that meet up. You have to email an email from the website and my group there were babies in my area born within 3 months of each other so I didn't really feel that my prem baby was behind everyone.

I gate crashed an nct group. I'd attended one in the town nearest to where we lived before baby and then moved so too far to go back. Spotted couple if friendly looking mums with similar she baby to me at baby clinic and chatted. Was invited to join their Friday group meeting at each other's houses. Best thing that Dover happened to us! Brilliant group of mates. And miss them so much since we had to move again 6 years ago. Now can't make any friends at all in small village and no more school gate opportunities since dd on school bus

Hello, Valdeeves and everyone else (yeah kinda lazy and in zombie mode to write everyones name; I'm gunna call us the Kangaroo mamas!). I am currently based in Germany so it's good that it's virtual! Wink. I'll have coffee based frappaccino with extra coffee - no whip! Ignore the screaming babies attached to me; it's been a crazy night!

I like Kangaroo Mamas! I'm having a Chai Tea Latte watching my two children - one has a toy car and the other is walking around bothering every customer by going very close and staring at them.
We are based in Berkshire, playing with the kids today in the house as the car has a flat battery and stuck on our drive. Eaten too much cake after lunch and just about ready to fall asleep. What are you all up to? Xxxx

I've up since 4.30am as my twin boys refused to sleep and we are currently playing jigsaws and lego while 4 of my DC nap, and DH is making dinner of vegetarian stew and dumplings! Want some?! Grin

I do however have a craving for iced Raspberry tea!

I wish we did too, it's so lovely the support on here for each other!

Apollo is just refusing to take his meds tonight keeps spitting/drippling them out! Managed to get one dose through the medi pacifier so if someone could put on a pot of the strongest coffee, I will forever be in your debit!

Bankholiday - I love those teacakes! My weakness are those Snowballs with coconut! Yum.
