How do you bottle feed your premmie?

Stupid question alert :o

My little one is 37 weeks, came home from scbu on monday. He's not fully breastfeeding yet, but is in training...

My question is how do you bottle feed them?

I have been doing what they showed me in NICU, sitting on my lap, but supporting head bottle in other hand, burps, then over shoulder or kangaroo cuddles for 15 to 30 mins to settle feed before got back into cot.

Worked perfectly in hospital, but when I put him in his cot now he wriggles about (despite swaddling) moves his head around a lot and then spits up a few times.

Is there a better way? Can I put him in a baby bouncer in front of me, or a sling after r feeding to settle it (as he'd be upright) or is what I am doing the best way?

SCBU cots tend to be at an angle. Try propping his mattress up slightly with a rolled up blanket. Is he on reflux medicine?

We've got his cot at an angle, and I have ordered some reflux wedges for pushchair carry cot and changing table.

sbcu said no reflux, but I questioned thus every time and no one could tell me if he had a ph study done, so he is not on meds but he really does not like being laid flat, or on his back.

DTs did have reflux and I used to put them in their bouncy chairs for 15mins after each feed and then into cots - seemed to cut down the sicking up!
