How long was yours?

I've been talking to people and everyone I have spoken to has said that their first pregnancy was their longest, and though the third wasn't necessarily shorter than their second, both were shorter than their first.

Anyone else found this to be true.

My DD was born on her due date and given the condition of my ailing body I'm hoping that I won't be pregnant over the due date, call it my little ray of sunshine.

So shot me down, c'mon tell me statistically that I'm going to have a 13 month pregnancy.

pie - what a coincidence - my dd was also born on her due date and have been wondering exactly the same thing. My cycle is fairly long so expected her to be late frst time round but was a reasonable size baby and definitely not prem. Hoping for a 38/39 week preg. this time round... I will keep my eyes on this thread to see what others with more experience suggest - great idea for a thread.

First was born at 39 weeks, second at 37 weeks, third at 38 weeks and fourth at 36 weeks. The first 3 were natural, and the fourth was induced.

DS1 was 3 days over and DS2 2 weeks early.

DS1 - 36 weeks, DS2 - 31 weeks (emergency section for placenta previa, 34 weeks by my dates), DD - 37 weeks and boy did I feel like I had gone overdue as I'd never lasted so long before.

40 weeks and 5 days!! Should really have been shorter as dd did not get enough 'food' from the placenta in the last 10 days but they did not pick this up! (Fortunately she was only 5 days late...)

I was two days early. But I have to say I have such a long cycle - about 36 days - that I (blush) lied to my midwife about when my last period was to push back my due date. I KNEW when I ovulated and when I conceived so I wasn't going to let the ol' 28-day cycle chesnut push me into an induction for 'being late'!

Luckily I was ready early for mine. With no 3 I bought her pram when I was only a few weeks pregnant! I tend to get ready too early rather than too late!

Well so far it looks like that even when subsequent pregnancies have lasted longer than the first it hasn't been by long.

DD (first) was on her due date and ds was at 39 weeks, tho kept going in and out of labour from 36 weeks due to an irritable uterus and a little hand tickling my cervix!

and i am quite punctual!

I guess my girls were impatient to get out! I for one am glad as it meant they werent huge and I had easy births!!!!

Second that 3girls. Ds1 was my 3rd and came 2 weeks early weighing 8lbs. Makes my eyes water to thik what he could have been, especially as my sister's 3rd one was 10 1/2!

My first was 4 days late, second 1 day early and my third 11 days early but she was planned cs. They don't always get bigger with each pregnancy either mine were 8lb1oz, 8lb15oz and 6lb5oz.

DD was 42 weeks exactly - I was induced at 41 +10, had cs two days later.

DD was 40wks & 7days, if she knew that now she would have come out a lot earlier, she is always rushing around like a mad one!

My dd was late, she was born at 40wks +10 days although I'd been in labour since day 8. Waiting to see if I'm pregnant again and hoping that the next one will arrive early or at least on it's due date.
