Could be - sometimes it feels like wind to start with. With my first the first movements I felt were at about 19 weeks, and kindof felt like someone blowing a wet raspberry on the inside of my stomach. Not a very romantic description, but that was what it felt like to me!

If it was a movement you felt, then you will be feelinga lot more over the next few weeks - it does get so that you can't mistake them!

i thought they felt like little muscle spasms - it's so exciting isn't it? i think this is the most fun part of the pregnancy - enjoy it if you can

butterfly fluttering about in your lower abdomen...

if you think you've felt movement at this stage you probably have! I felt my first quite early (certainly before 17 weeks) so its quite possible that's what you are feeling. If so, it will get stronger over the next few days and weeks. Enjoy!

Hi Rachael. I was 17 weeks when I felt the first movements.... I'm sure you are too.

Cherish every single healthy wriggle!

BTW - How's college going? Have you finished up for summer??

I remember the first ones feeling like bubbles. Make the most of these ones, it'll soon be jumping on your bladde at the most arkward moments!!!

mine kicks me in the cervix. very painful!

I didn't feel anything 'till 21 weeks and the first movements felt like muscle spasms.
Mine kicks under the ribs and in the pelvic/bladder region at the same time now. As Batey says, you'll soon be feeling movement all the time and at the most awkward moments.

And I love every single kick!!!

I didn't feel anything until about 25 weeks - and was beginning to get worried, but I think I just didn't know what it actually was and put early movements down to wind! He certainly made up for it by kicking the C**p out of me for the last few months of pregnancy!

I started feeling a sort of fluttering at about 20 weeks, real kicks at about 23 weeks I guess. Turned into Muffin the Mule at about 30 weeks!

Mmm lovely fluttery feeling inside you, can't remember when I got them with dd, but can't wait to get them with this new bambino in my belly, enjoy every moment. I also remebered DD hicupping inside me - loved it so much and then when she was born every time she hicupped I would feel my belly still.

mine felt like fluttery tummy gurgles at first (17 weeks) and then turned into more definite shifting feelings at around 19 weeks (just this last week) - I wasn?t sure last time that the fluttery ones were the baby but am more convinced 2nd time round. It is a great feeling - pleased that you have started to experience it too. Before long you will experience punches and kicks rather bubbles that will keep you awake and you will really know about it then!! Still - it is lovely whatever they feel like, helps to make you feel really special.

Costco used to do body pillows, don't know if they still do. I found that lots of normal pillows piled around was more versatile and you can then use them for other things afterwards.

rachael - for shopping look out for nct sales in the area. the young baby stuff is often unused and very cheap - saved me a fortune and i got loads of great stuff. even better if you can get to a sale in a posh area!
