Urgent advice needed for preg test

Hi, I have searched the board and cant find this one. A friend of mine bought a UNICHEM pregnancy test kit tonight. She has had problems with her periods for the last few months. She was due on last week and since then has spotted a couple of times but that is all. She is now definitely overdue. Anyway she took the test tonight and it should be either a + or - in the box. This is weird though she has the - with a / running diagonal through the negative result. It is a very clear line. Does anyone know if this is a pos or neg result?
Advice needed urgently.
P.S She has to wait until Mon 9.00am for the advice phone line.

No idea, I'm afraid, doormat. My best suggestion is that she purchases another test- I've seen Boots recommended as relaible on here before- and double checks if she can't wait till Monday. Hope the news is what she wants it to be.

No idea doormat - I'd do as Scummymummy suggests and buy another test!

Great advice line. "We can offer you advice on this momentous occasion of your life, but only if you happen to be sensible enough to get a concern during office hours"...

Don't they sell pregnancy tests at 24 hour petrol stations? Seriously - I think they might...

Snickers - I would have thought so too until I tried to get hold of one on a Sunday evening - even the stations with Safeways and Tescos attached didn't have them! I was on tenterhooks until the next day...

PS Bet the advice line says "take another test"

How about a 24 hour supermarket? Our 24hr Tescos sells them.

(my gut feeling is that it's a wonky + sign.)
