I seem to have turned into Grandpa Simpson - normal??? 31 weeks

I think I had this with previous pgs but can't remember. I'm now 31 weeks and seem to have developed the ability to fall asleep instantly (but only in daytime, natch; nightime sleep is disturbed) It is almost exactly like the Grandpa Simpson sleeping: finish sentence, head goes back, instant snoring. I've been asleep like this on and off half the afternoon (while DS pottered all over me and occasionally asked me to pretend to be a lion) but still feel like I could go straight to bed now.

Normal or any cause for concern?

have you had your iron levels checked hunny?
If this were low it would make you like this?
have you felt breathless?

I am 28 weeks and knackered but am not nodding off at the drop of a hat.

I would mention to MW and get iron levels checked .

HTH .

Well the 28 week bloods were fine - good apparently in fact. I also take pregnacare so shouldn't be deficient in anything. This pg has just been soo hard and full of potential problems, I'm really fed up with it.

Do you think I should get iron levels checked again after 3 weeks?

I think you should tell your midwife just how severe your tiredness is..she will then decide what tests may need to be done hunny... i have had times in my pregnancy (am 35 weeks now) where i have been almost this bad..but after maybe 3 or 4 days i would perk up again?? I used to just put it down to a growth spurt for baby??
how long have you felt like this?
when you had bloods done at 28 weeks..did u feel this tired then??

Thanks all. Am seeing the consultant day after tomorrow so shall mention it.

jkb yes, I think I did feel this tired at 28 weeks. TBH I don't feel as physically tired right now, just sleep much more readily. I don't particularly have that wading through treacle sensation, though I did have that at 28 weeks.

Am not very well with bad cold and possible chest infection so that's not helping.
