sore c-section scar

Not really sure where to put this (as I am not pregnant) so apologies if not in the correct place

I had an emergency C-section 14mths ago and suffered pain and then niggles for quite a few months before it settled down apart from the odd twinge.

However over the past week or so the left hand side has been twinging every day and an 'ouch' type pain too. Kind of feels tight. Is this normal or could it be a prob?

TIA

I have had 4 sections and occasionally get 'ouch' pains, and tightness....never had any other problems, but if you are really worried check with your Gp.

Had this over the last week too. Searched the archives, read up on the Internet and it seems to be fairly common. Probably muscular. I've taken it easy and it's going away now.

I had the cs 21 months ago.

had a cs 23 mths ago and due next baby in 2 months...Ive often had these type pains which feel internal,my mum who also had a section says its the scar inside...as they dont just cut your stomach open but obviously the womb too which has its own scar and takes longer to heal...I hope thats all it is

Hi

I have a scar across my stomach and I get the odd twinge and stuff if I stretch... it could be adheshions when the tissue has healed around the scar and attached itself to surrounding skin/ muscle etc... Unfortunatley nothing really you can do about them- seperating them will only lead to them reattaching to whatever they were attached to before. If it is that, they aren't too much of a problem really, and when they have healed properly, you would prob be able to feel them under your skin as hard bits of grissle (sp). They will cause the occasion twinge where they pull, and as 24 weeks pregnant now, they are pulling quite a lot!!
