I think im currently about 12 weeks pregnant (not sure still waiting on scan). My current bra's are begining to get really uncomfortable so im thinking of getting some maternity underwear. I'm stuck with what style is best to buy, if i buy a nursing bra now will this last me all through pregnancy and for breast feeding or am i better just getting a soft cup bra for now and nursing bra's later? I just don't want to spend money if i dont need to.

I'd get fairly cheap non-underwired bras for now. Your size is likely to change throughout your pregnancy and it can end up costing a fortune! Get measured at about 38 weeks for nursing bras.

M&S do cheap, pretty comfy and supportive pregnancy bras.

Wait as late as poss for nursing bras!

M&S will be happy to measure you for maternity bras. They recommend waiting until 38 weeks to get measured for nursing bras.

I had 34K boobs all the way through pregnancy with DS in non wired bras - if you are big - go for ROYCE bras at Debenhams or contact Bravissimo.

I have big boobs too. I wore soft cup sports bras (non underwired) until around 32 weeks, then got some non-underwired soft cup bras which lasted me till around 38 weeks and got nursing bras at 38 weeks (just in time as DS2 came later that week). I'd advise holding off until around 2 months in before investing in really pretty nursing bras (e.g. hot milk ones) as your back shape and bra size will most likely change in the first 2 months after birth as your body readjusts...

Don't waste your money on proper pregnancy knickers - go to M&S/BHS etc and buy some big pants (a couple of sizes bigger than what you are) much cheaper option and often better quality.

Mothercare's knickers are 2 in a pack for £16 - ouch! dont know about you but I would need at least 10+pairs so costing me a small fortune! who cares what size they are as long as you are comfy thats all that matters!

Just got an ace maternity bra from M&S's body range, I've got tiny boobs with, how do I put this, alert nipples, that I'd rather the office didn't see, but they sell non-wired bras that are gently padded to maintain your modesty. And they are so comfy, am impressed.
