Am 35 weeks have been oiling, lotioning and creaming all over tummy constantly. This morning I see them! Aaaargh! Does anything work once you've got them?
Do they look less obvious once LO is out?
Have only just started to deal with stretch marks from puberty, and yes I know most women have them, but they are such a confidence knocker for me.
Any advice?

Stretch marks are battle scars! Proof your body's done the most incredible thing and made a whole wonderful amazing person! Love them and love your body for what it's doing

I think you'll see them more once LO is out - I didn't even know I had any till after as they lurked under my bump! I found bio-oil worked wonders fading them though, and 9 months on they're not that angry purple colour anymore, just skin coloured small lines.

I'm only 19 weeks and my stretchmarks appeared at 16.5 weeks I had them as a child due to my weight yo-yoing I continue to lotion to try and reduce the appearance but nothing is working, i'm just praying they dont get worse

wish I could have gotten to 35 weeks before they appeared

I got them aroubnd 26th week. Initially I thoiught it could be bruising due to the belt I wore at the time, but then I took the mirror and looked down, and there they were.... terrible!
nothing seems helping different creams, oils, etc. friend of mine just had a baby month ago, she did not have them till the last week, and then they appeared, so now after a month after giving birth, she says they even more noticeable than before.... my skin also became bumpy in the area os stretch marks, it is not smooth anymore.

This is my 1st pregnancy, I am planning to have child N2 as soon as poss, within a year or 2 probably, so after the second one, I am just gonna go for laser treatments to smooth it out. Although people still say that even laser doesn't get rid of the completely.

Mine started fading after the birth and now you can't tell I had any. Though I expect they'll be coming back this time too!

When I was in labour, the MW said, "When did you have your appendix out then?" and instead of being embarrassed when I explained it was a HUGE HORRID STRETCHMARK, went in for a closer look!!!

Mine have just gone nicely white and started to smooth out, now they'll all be popping open again.
