Dating conception after removal of coil?

Ok, I've got another question for you this time about conception dates.

Before falling pregnant I had a copper coil, this was removed two weeks and three days after the first day of my last period, upon which (as if by magic) I was pregnant. I've stuck to this date, even though technically it seems odd being classed as pregnant when I know I had a coil.

Anyone else got any experience of this? My MW keeps changing her mind about the due date.

Thanks in advance.

It should be from the day of your last period. No-one is actually pregnant for the first two weeks - the coil stope implantation and it was all gone by that stage!

Hello
I had my coil removed on about day 5 of my cycle, then ovulated late about day 18/19 (very fortunate as in diff country to DH!) and conceived about he same time. Being copper and non- hormonal means it shouldnt affect your cycle.

You may have ovulated before coil was removed or right at that time and immediately conceived.

My MW keeps changing mind on date too as their wheel calculator things dont seem to take account of cycles longer than 28days! Im now 26wks

Congratulations btw!
