I haven't been weighed at all during this pregnancy and it's liberating

It's surprising how often women have asked me how much weight I've put on and it's fantastic to say 'no idea, but the midwife says everything is fine'. I've spent way too much of my life standing on scales.

Am 28 weeks too, was weighed yesterday at the clinic

too depressing, actually kept me awake last night! I've put on about 40 pounds. Don't know why - I'm not over-eating by any means. 3rd dc. Keep thinking about the nightmare I'm going to have trying to shift it.

Ca't rememeber - how much usually comes off immediately following the birth? about 38 pounds? [hopeful emoticon]
