Pregnancy

If you didn't get certain pregnancy side effects in your first pregnancy (varicose veins, stretch marks etc) - is there a chance you'll escape them again?

Second time around?

I'm trying to work out if the attractive red mark on my leg is a vein going wrong.

My mother and grandmother both got varicose veins in their second pregnancies.

I didn't get any stretch marks last time around - does this mean anything second time around or could they still rear their ugly heads this time?

Hi I am currently 32 weeks with my second. Had no stretch marks and none this time either. so far.......
But I have noticed what looks like a varicouse vein on inside of leg just above knee. In exactly the same place as my mum and sister and they both got theirs after pregnancy.
However I was talking to a friend yesterday who got no stretch marks with 1st pregnancy but loads with second right near the end so a I keep checking every day for them.LOL
Someone told her it was because her body had not recovered enough before getting pregnant again.
Not sure how true that is though.
She got pregnant when her ds was 3 months old
My dd will be 18 months when baby arrives.

I think a lot of it is down to what type skin you have.
My Mum never had stretch marks with 4 kids and I didnt both times I was pg either!
