EVENING PRIMROSE TO INDUCE LABOUR

I'm almost 39 weeks and in a wheelchair due to SPD, can't sleep, can't get out of the house etc. Now on 3 cups of RL tea per day, lots of fresh pineapple, sitting on birthing ball, sleeping lots etc. Just read that EPO has prostaglandins that can induce labour. I have been taking 2 caps all through pregnancy, 720 mg per day and wondered if anyone knew if I can up the dose. It says you should take 8 per day for 12 weeks when starting out to get optimum levels so can it do any harm to up it to 4 now I wonder? Anyone tried it?

I read that you can use it ahem internally ... anyone else heard that? Does it work?

My friend tried evening primrose oil internally on the advice of her midwife and it just gave her thrush! Don't know about the doses though

I have read about placing them directly in your vagina, very near if not touching cervix. May be worth googling.

Not much research about it, but some believe it works.

If you can reach your cervix that is!

Dont try it jsut on my word though, as i talk lots a crap

I've got the internals covered with something from my homeopathic doctor to soften the cervix, been taking it since week 32. Will ask DH to attempt entry this weekend, the laughing alone might induce labour!
