I have my 20 week scan today and I feel so nervous about it. I always get myself really worked up and I feel sick. Do other people feel like this? I keep needing the loo and I know that drinking all that water is going to be a nightmare. I am sorry for being silly, but I just need to vent my feelings as I have a whole morning of work to get through before the scan and I am not getting much done!

One piece of good news for you is that you don't have to drink water for your 20 week scan!

Try to enjoy seeing your baby

Oh don't I? I thought it said on my letter 1 1/2 pints. It is good news if I don't. My friend got told off by the sonographer for not drinking wnough when she went for her scan which I thought was a bit harsh

I was exactly the same for my 20 week scan - terrified that something would be wrong. Just try to stay as calm as possible and focus on it all being over and everything being fine.

I was the same...it's very normal. No, I asked if I could go to the loo and she said it was fine. Baby is big enough by that point.

Well I managed to drink the water and keep it in, miracle!! Baby was fine, which was a relief, got some lovely pictures. The only thing that worried me was that I was meant to be 20 weeks and 3 days but the baby was measuring 19 weeks and 4 days, is that something I should worry about?

Good to know, I just seem to be worrying about everything this time.
